    It's unfortunately not the same as the single-player version. They removed most of its fire rate to balance it out in multiplayer...

    It still is good for staggering enemies, so use it on a character who might need that opportunity to escape or get in that critical attack. Also, as a projectile weapon, it gains no benefit from a piercing mod and ignores all armor-based defenses.
