    Press X on the Main menu to attempt to connect online. You need an Origin account to login. The second screen should open when you're connected and then you can select Multiplayer.

    Make sure you can log into Origin using the account. Try visiting on your browser N7HQ with your Origin account. http://social.bioware.com/n7hq/ If you can login there but can't in the game, then you might have to reach out to EA/BioWare.
