I need your opinion, guys. Should I wait to get a "new" 3DSxl or the newly announced NES-style 3DS xl?

    The new one you will actually be able to change out the front plates and customize the menu, so you would end up with a lot more options, even after you make your purchase.

    The menu customization is coming to all models of 3DS's everywhere, so I i get the NES-3DS, I can just get the SMB style menu. I don't really NEED the new 3DS. I'll buy it if like a new Mario game comes out for it, but other than that, I don't have to have it. The NES 3DS is limited edition. The New will be out for years. not a few months. Plus, My L and R buttons are semi-broken...

    You can only buy the NES 3DS from GameStop. It is really your choice on what to get.

    Well, I'd say get the new one. I was actually planning on getting a special edition XL this year until I heard about the new one. But if you need working L & R buttons, just call nintendo. They'll try to help over the phone, and if they cant you can ship it to them and they'll fix it.

    It's just that I'm a retro geek. so much so, I own an Atari 2600. The NES 3DS is just my type of thing. But ARRRGGG! I JUST DUNNO WHAT TO DO!!

    If NES 3DS is your thing, go for it. The new 3DS doesn't look like it'll have many games exclusively for it anyway.

    I JUST FOUND OUT THAT SSB4 3DS WONT SUPPORT CIRCLE PAD PRO! FU...BLUFLDUFFERS! In reply to your comment, I hope they make Punch-Out wii 3d. similar to xenoblade and DKCR 3d.

    because: 1: a bigger screen is easier to draw on. 2: a 3DSxl NES-Edition?! c'mon! cam't go wrong with that! 3: My L and R buttons don't work, and if I send it in, it'll cost moolah. a lot of moolah. I'd rather spend $130 more for a better, EXCLUSIVE, RETRO, AWESOME-LOOKING, 3DSXL, than pay $60-$80 to get 2 buttons fixed.
