A separate part of the roster leak told us Chorus-men,Dixie Kong,Ridket and Mewtwo would playable with Duck hunt,Bowser Jr,Shulk and Dr mario and Dark pit. So maybe them?

No actually it was different. The dlc part was put out there after because they could it because they had backing by those who believed them

That makes sense. With the leak being correct it gives them credibility to make up whatever they want. Hell the first leak from last year about the Newcomers was 90% correct. Nintendo Ninjas are slipping.
