Honestly Ness doesn't deserve his spot in the roster. He's only been in one game from over 20 years ago which did very poorly in North America. The only thing that keeps him alive is his perfect attendance in Smash.

    The same could be said for Captain Falcon, I suppose. IMO, he's more of a Smash Bros character than an F-Zero character now. Ness definitely brings a unique playstyle, and Earthbound/ Mother is a long dead series. I think it's a wonderful homage to him, and he deserves to survive after his franchise died.

    I never said I wanted Captain Falcon to be cut. If you actually read what I said, I was saying that the same applies for Captain Falcon, because of the lack of F-Zero games, and his continuity in Smash Bros. Never once did I say I wanted him out, you are completely taking what I said out of context. I never even said I agreed with OP, just that the Cap is in a similar situation.

    It's just really awkward when a character is only in one game in their series while the rest are 4 Smash Bros games. At least Captain Falcon was in more than one F-Zero game.

    That's true. But I don't think it'd be fair to have the Mother series be completely eradicated from the Smash Bros universe.
