I'm hoping the final version of Evil Within has more ammo over the place.

Yeah but it was easier to conserve ammo in SH's due to better close combat. You really gotta use guns to be safe in EW. Use the knife and it makes the zombies flail and go crazy, usually ending with you getting hit.

In some SH's you can find like, bunches of ammo boxes together in certain places. While from what I saw in EW, barely ammo and each box has about 8 bullets. And since you're a cop you basically only have guns, also a knife, a crossbow, dunno if the grenades will be in final version, and can pick up glass bottles and throw them to distract enemies.

Oh, if you sneak up on most enemies you can take them out in one hit with the knife by stabbing them in the head.
