    Gen 1 was glitchy, sure. All games from back then were, and it pales in comparison now, because they kept moving forward. Look at how goood it was compared to anything from that time. Just remember that without 1, there would be nothing.

    I know... but it's really overrated imo, people just whine and complain about gen. 4-6 because they're not the 1st gen. lol XD

    Sure the first gen had issues but that was half of the entertainment. The tech we used to play games back then was still fairly new stuff. In just 15 years we now have systems that can run 60 frames per second AND at 1080p. To be honest I think kids today are kind of spoiled by the technology available to them at such an early age.

    I know what you mean. I'm not that guy, but I give credit wheere it's due. Gamefreak keeps stepping it up. Gen 1 was my childhood though. I skipped 2 (watched Johto on TV) and loved Gen 3, but I was in 7th grade when that came out.

    @Darkrai Imagine kids' reaction to dial up connection at 4mb/s... I'd love to have them witness the struggle haha. Plus, the internet was new and didn't have too much gaming info. No easy looking up strategies or item locations. Damn.

    I do understand if it was ur childhood... gen. 3 was my childhood, I'm not bashing gen. @, I just think other gens are a little better, but gen. 1IS really nostalgic...:)
