    It was never Dixie vs K.Rool. It was Sakurai versus the Donkey Kong franchise. Star Fox, Donkey Kong, and Metroid got the major shaft this game. DK can be worse. We aren't Star Fox level shafted yet.

    dk got a worse shaft than star fox. Star fox hasn't had a game in like 10 years. DK is nintendo's 4th biggest franchise, yet it got no newcomers or no assists. Star fox got a clone like character taken away, and while I really like wolf and would have him anyday over dark pit, I'm not too heartbroken.

    Oh, right. We got it EVEN WORSE then. We only got three items, and they're the banana, spring, and hammer. SERIOUSLY, a frick'n banana counts, I didn't even know the spring was a DK item, not to mention Mario used that hammer. One stage, three obscure items, no assist trophies, and two reps after four games. I can't even...

    I'm well aware playable characters get trophies, but you unlock them by doing Classic mode as that character, never anything else.

    I thought the banana was a mario kart item at first. I don't think it got any new items this game either. It's one stage isn't even a new stage either! Same goes with metroid. Metroid, rhythm heaven, and dk got the worst shafts imo.

    The worst part is they have the models for Dixie, and K.Rool, but don't use them. Even the descriptions pretty much say ¨ They would've been nice huh.¨
