Mario Theory: My theory is that Princess Peach was once married to Bowser, and Bowser desperately wants to restore their love. That's why he's always trying to capture her. In Super Mario Sunshine, it's Bowser's son, Bowser Jr. who captures Peach, claiming she's his mom. Coincidence? I think not. How does my theory hold up? Tell me in the comments!     It wouldn't be difficult for Bowser to lie to Bowser Jr. Children do believe everything when they are told something convincingly. Peach is being captured in Mario games, because that reflects old stories of maiden locked in the tower with a dragon guarding it.
