Master Core is an immensely powerful entity who resembles the Smash logo. Smash balls are magical orbs that, when shattered, grant one great power, that look like the Smash logo. Could smash balls be fragments of Master Core's power leaked from Final Destination?

  • It is thought that he is the core from the bottom of past battlefields and final destinstions as the new versions don't have cores at the bottom of the stages, as if it has come out to find you. Also the 'swarm' battles like multi man and cruel always occur on these two stages.

  • Hopefully the Wii U version will have a story mode that explains things a bit. Granted the entire series is just a crossover fan service, I have always found myself a tad curious about certain lore aspects, probably because it's always so mysterious.

  • I also wonder what the deference is between the Swarm and the Shadow Bugs Tabuu extracted from Mr. Game & Watch to create his army in Brawl, if there even is a deference at all. Could there be a Core inside Mr. Game & Watch as well, and could he perhaps be just as powerful as Master Hand?

  • When I first did Classic, I totally thought Crazy Hand was transforming into Tabuu.

  • Crazy Hand's trophy descriptions in Melee and Brawl mention that he appears "when Master Hand's power begins to ebb." Considering that he's nowhere to be seen while Tabuu controls Master Hand in SSE and how he appears with Master Hand at the beginning of the battle this time around then just fizzles out before the Swarm appears, could Crazy Hand have just been an illusion all this time?

  • Perhaps Tabuu already took care of Crazy Hand, or it couldn't manifest while Master Hand was being controlled.
