  • As requested by Gordolfo. It was a very good idea, since I bet many people don't know about the bird that was the inspiration for the Loftwing. It's an African stork like bird called the Shoebill.

  • That's cool!

  • Aww I love the birds in Skyward Sword! This is so cool!

  • Yeah. I usually don't take any requests, but this was such a good idea I couldn't ignore it. You always learn something from videogames, no matter how minor. I probably wouldn't have heard of the Shoebill until much later if it wasn't for Skyward Sword.

  • That's how my lil cousin reacted after I showed him this fact: Wow, so practically the Loftwings are real!!! And as odd fact, the old movie The Tingler features a creature that it seems to be based in a real bug, I cannot recall its name but looks like a cross between a slug with a centipede, but is known to shot slime strings as defense.

  • Never heard of that movie. It sounds like a horror movie with a creature like that. But anyway, whatever movie or videogame we see, no matter how fantastic or incredible it seems, it will always be inspired by something real. I can just imagine that if Shoebills were much bigger, we would have our very own Loftwings.

  • More suspense than horror, it's an old William Castle film, but I found it pretty fun!! I like to search old B movies in web, where cheese is pure gold!! And about B movies, do you ever heard about The Killer Shrews?? Maybe a mere coincidence, but the Majora Monster (from MM manga) looks like a rip-off from there XD

  • I know what B movies are, but I never see them. Neither of the ones you have mentioned so far have I ever heard of them. Anyway, I hope you are happy with the drawing. It's very rare for me to accept a request you know.
