    It's been a while since I last played this game, but I don't recall seeing that picture on the best ending. Are you sure you got the full ending? Was there a full credits roll with scenes out of the game playing? I think it gives you a password at the end. When you put in the password you get the Ultimate Gargoyle form which has all of the gargoyles abilities.

    There is a new location with the ultimate final boss of the game completely unrelated to Phalanx. Definately max out your supply of health recoveries prior to entering his lair. You'll need them.

    The more I get thinking about it, that is the ending screen for the true ultimate final boss, isn't it? My opologies. Man, I've got to fire up the old SNES and play this again sometime. Crappy life responsibilities! Getting in the way of my important game playing time! GRRRR!

    I love that end music of the main theme! This game always had some of the best artwork too. It still looks fantastic to this day. Better than most of todays stuff!
