You all so lucky to have the Wii U version .. :[ wow .. jusst woww .. Ok I'm happy to play the ssb4 3DS version but .. It's not fair at all .., they should've put 8 players online for 3DS too,.. but I guess it's too late for now .. ;n; ;n;

    Well, with the limited power of the 3DS, there was NO WAY an 8-player smash was feasible for the portable one so they ported it over to the WiiU version.

    Well, the game uses a lot of processing power as it is. Going from a 4-player snash to an 8-player one would eventually kill it & make it unplayable.

    The system is around three (more or less) years old. It's natural that a console could handle more things than a portable.

    60fps + game that pushes the 3DS to its limits (you can't even browse Miiverse while Smash is suspended) + eight players = MASSIVE lag, to the point of being unplayable. The 3DS is fairly powerful, but it's nothing compared to the capabilities of the Wii U.

    More characters are possible as dlc, and confirmed with Mewtwo, yes. It just can't run eight characters at once due to the low specs.

    Well if you have no money, then just wait or save up for a Wii U. Don't just burn money if you're tight on cash. Things like Smash can wait when compared to necessities. No matter what some fans might say. :p
