  • [Introduction] Glory of Generals is a turn-based strategy game, based on battles that took place during World War II. Developed by CIRCLE Ent./Easytech and published by CIRCLE Ent, it was released on the NA 3DS eShop on July 3, 2014. It was later released in EU (except Germany) on Sept. 18, 2014.

  • [Gameplay] Gold and industry points are the main resources. You can earn more of them by occupying more territories. They are used to buy, heal, and enable sailing for units. More units can be recruited from one of your occupied territories (City/Naval Port/Airport/Factory). Each type of unit has its own movement range (represented by white circles) and range of attack (represented by red circles)

  • First aid kits fully restore the health of a unit and can be purchased with Play Coins. Your performance dictates how many medals you earn during/after a battle. [Modes] There are 2 modes: Campaign and Legion. Campaign mode contains a variety of campaigns, each one with a different objective. Each objective has two degrees of completion (Victory and Great Victory). At the end of each...

Each campaign is unlocked once you've completed the previous campaign. You cannot recruit over 99 units. Legion Mode is similar to Campaign mode, with the difference being that you can play any of the campaigns from a...

[Headquarters] The headquarters allows you to use medals to employ generals and upgrade your commander. The 102 famous generals are divided into 4 ranks. The higher the rank, the more medals needed...

Like the other generals, the commander has six different attributes (Infantry Force, Artillery Force, Armored Force, Navy Force, Air Force, and Financial Center), and each of them can be upgraded.

  • [Graphics/Audio] The graphics are very detailed. The units are modeled after the same designs used by each country in World War II. Each battlefield has a different type of terrain (such as desert, mountain, and snowy forest). The sound effects of the units moving and attacking each other are very realistic. The war/military-styled music enhances the experience. Most of the action takes place...

Due to its play style, it will take a very large amount of time to unlock ever general and receive a 5-star ranking on every campaign.

  • [Overall] I wish the turn limit was dependent upon a difficulty level. I think it's the best strategy game that CIRCLE Ent. has released on the 3DS eShop so far. For inexperienced players, I'd highly recommend trying out European Conqueror 3D or World Conqueror 3D beforehand. [Rating] 90% A review copy of this game was kindly provided. • In the 'Overall' section, the 2nd sentence doesn't make sense straight after the one before. Btw, I think this is not that much of a review, more telling people about the game, although some of it is more review-like than some of the other reviews.

  • @knife+fork: I try to keep my opinion near the bottom of the review. Usually [Overall] contains the opinions. Opinions differ. I try to be as informative as possible. [Agentdave7]
