    Pixels is probably the only example of how to make a flippin' Tetris movie, yet I don't see how the studio behind the Tetris movie will be able to translate that style in an original way.

    That's probably what they're already going for, considering it's supposed to be a "sci-fi epic." Pixels playing the whole "video games brought to life" thing for laughs allows them to go all-out with the visuals a bit more, I think.

    Now that you've mentioned it, they probably would. A Tetris movie is a ridiculous concept to begin with, so I don't see why the wouldn't go all-out.

    Well, people probably wouldn't take a sci-fi epic seriously if it tried to be overly cartoony. Case in point: Ewoks. Still, that doesn't explain why they think people would take Tetris as a sci-fi epic seriously...
