    u can't resign, even when the position is completely lost,u can only offer a draw! u can't flip the board to see your side of the board. if your black u hav to look from the white side.

    the gamepad screen is too dark & small to distinguish the pieces. so even though it technally has it, it is practically useless.

    u basically get this game just to play the cpu, with nice looking wood set. that might b worth 8$ just a shame that they advertised a full chess game & we got a half baked one

    true it got 5's or so. main reason is mail chess.it's like words with friends online. but u can hav 6 games going. not bad, just live matches r best. graphics r stunning. gameplay is smooth.

    local multiplayer isn't bad, u just hav to play around trying different sets with different environments,cuz some sets r too dark with some environments on the gamepad. cpu strength is great also!

    i had criticised a little too harshly, that's what the reviewers r doing too. once u actually start experimenting with different options,etc. u'll see it's really a great chess game!

    it was made by an indy developer 'voo foo' & considering what u get & the fact the wii u now has a solid chess game, all for 8$? awesome! i really have come to like this chess game.
