@james, it probably doesn't hurt. :) You should know that even if you have a lot of innate talent, most top-level artists take about 10 years of training before they get over the "professional level"

wall. You'll notice that many professional level artists start really producing and working in the field around age 25. 25-10 years = 15, so I started about right on que. You don't want to start later

if you can avoid it, but it also doesn't hurt to start a bit early. Only reminder is that whether you start at 12,13,14,or 15, it will still probably take until you're 25 to really "get" it.
