    You need a wiimote or a pro controller to be in the p2 slot of the console, because the game pad and the first wiimote or pro controller, according to your picture, they are considered as the p1.

    also on the main menu(where it says 1player 2player) press the minus button to control the screens! Oh and on the menu you are on make sure the gamepad is set to P2.
