    depending on the method you're doing it, it could take over 1000, or it could take over 8000. not sure if you are doing the easier way, but breed two pokemon, one that you caught and one caught by ↓

    I'm using a Ditto i caught, and a shiny Espurr my friend gave me from Spain, idk if shiny increases the chance more or not though.

    wait. just did some research. to raise the chance to 1/1024, you also need the shiny charm. shoot. well it's still 5 times more likely so 1/1638. still pretty good i guess
