@Javie There is only 5 people representing mario. Not counting Yoshi/Wario because they have their own separate games. Right now pokemon has 4 + Jigglypuff, adding more pokemon would upset the balance

It also takes up spots of new fresh Characters that they can introduce into the Smash Bros universe.
