Apparently it's been confirmed that the raccoon character from Sonic Boom is NOT Marine. Also Shadow will appear in Boom with minimal changes to his design and personality.

    I also hope the "NotMarine" character will be playable. He/she's on the poster, so he/she should be playable. I think he/she's the fifth member of Sonic's team. Maybe he/she will unlockable.

    She's a squirrel and she appears in the sonic cartoon and the comics and sonic spinball. I don't think she'll ever appear in another sonic game.
