JUST MAKE A POKEMON MMO ALREADY! The game could start in the Kanto region and release new regions and expanded pokemon rosters through expansion packs. WIth a monthly subscription fee, Nintendo could make enough money to buy a small continent and genetically modify animals into actual pokemon if they felt like it.

    Really. If they made it an MMO-lite, like Destiny, it could help separate kids from adults on servers, which I'm sure is a concern of theirs. It would save the Wii U.

    I disagree, and if you want good reasons as to why, search for 'tomashii hiroka' on YouTube. She has a video as to why it's a bad idea.

    Her reasons are flawed. Pokemon mmo wouldnt attract the same people as WOW. An mmo version also doesn't mean the end of new pokemon games, new games could be put out as expansions and have offline capabilities. Combat can easily be set up as turn based instances as well or with an ATB system. Her biggest flaw is assuming it would be assuming it would be on computer.

    Ideally nintendo would set it up as a crossplatform Wii U + 3DS title with a lot over servers. The pokemon games as so close to an mmo that its pretty foolish not to go the extra distance and do it. It's guaranteed to move Wii U and 3DS unit, already has a fanbase that outnumbers even the largest mmo, and has been dying for the idea for years now. Offline mode would essentially be the same as now.
