    I know right! I just don't understand why everyone wants to use that Smash Bros. GameCube controller, when you can use a Wii U Pro Controller instead.

    I don't see why. The only thing that makes it a "special" controller is the Smash emblem in the middle and possibly the color.

    People use wired controllers for Smash because they don't like lag. Plus at tournaments, there can be wireless interference b/c of all the Wii U's and Pro Controllers roaming around. The adapter is there to please the competitive Smash players that exclusively use a Gamecube contoller.

    @Chris- Agreed, but who would want to use a gamecube controller when you've got a perfectly good Pro Controller. I mean, I guess if the GC games are available for Eshop, and the Pro's aren't compatible.

    I am not opposed to using a Pro Controller myself, but tons of other people are. Pretty much everyone who played Melee and Brawl got so used to playing with a Gamecube controller that they don't want to change. That's why there's so much demand for an adapter, and they got their wish. It's perfectly ok to play smash with a pro controller, but a majority of people don't want to for reasons above.

    Can't wait for the 4-way GCN adapter! With uncanny foresight, we stockpiled 4 unopened wavebirds in 2005, knowing we would need them some day... and that day is nearly upon us!
