  • Why?

    Yeahs1
  • Just buy a Wii U if you want to play the game.

    Yeahs1
  • Why not? Buying a WiiU just for that (and Smash but that's 3DS anyway so whatever) is a bit of a waste of money don't you think? Not everyone is as rich as you... 'Sides, Japan likes their handhelds a lot, right? May as well make a 3DS version and rake in the cash.

    Yeahs0
  • (con't) Japan likes their handhelds and portable releases so may as well? Of course it's probably not that simple but I want to dream

    Yeahs0
  • Negative, the Wii U needs that to stay as an exclusive. for the sake of the console

    Yeahs1
  • I have both a 3DS and Wii U. That doesn't make me rich. I bought Mario Kart the other day. First game I've gotten all year. I prefer gaming on my TV. Plus it's been too long since we got FE on console in some form. Judging from your comments, you'd make for a terrible businessman. The Wii U needs games now more than ever. Japan is one market, and it isn't the largest.

    Yeahs2
  • no because fire emblem is a nintendo ip and make it not exclusive would be a detrimental to wiiu profits its like asking bayonetta 2 to not be exclusive but nintendo helped platinum games with funding sega simply didn't give that smt x fe is a atlus nintendo collab which doesn't make since if its not exclusive i have no job and money yet i have both 3ds and wii granted both were gifts ...

    Yeahs1
  • Richness is subjective though. WiiU also has Smash and MK8 so they're not losing too too much??? idk I'm dumb

    Yeahs0
  • and, and, FE might be very popular but what about the other half of that crossover? Sure, we got IV (Noth America at least, sorry yurobros) and SH and DeSuOC, and a bunch of nds megatens back in the day, but the rest of the series isn't even on Nintendo consoles, let alone WiiU (not counting the pre-Nocturne mainlines)

    Yeahs0
  • (con't) back in the day, but all others in the series weren't even on a Nintendo console, let alone WiiU (not counting the pre-Nocturne mainlines) But whatever. If it's an exclusive, then that's just how it is.

    Yeahs0
  • Actually, Fire Emblem isn't that popular. Awakening was the first in the series to sell over a million, and if it didn't do that the crossover game wouldn't be happening. It's easily argued that Shin Megami Tensei is more popular due to factors like the age of the IP and spinoffs like Persona.

    Yeahs0
  • Pretty sure the original few SMT games were exclusively on like SNES...And japan only.

    Yeahs0
  • Yeah but a lot of Persona fans don't even touch the rest of the series, nor is Persona relevant in the crossover so that's kind of going off on a tangent sorta kinda??? (btw SMT1 got an official english translation of the iOS port of the gba port of the SNES game. (>If... when))

    Yeahs0
  • iirc the crossover isn't even because of Awakening's success. apparently the FE devs wanted to make a modern FE game, so they called up Atlus and the rest is history, so to say.

    Yeahs0
  • My point with Awakening's success has more to do with the fact that had it not done well, or done typical fire emblem sales numbers, that fire emblem would be a dead IP. Nintendo would've axed it.

    Yeahs0
  • I don't think they would 'axe' it. Its been there even after GC and DS games, which I think they weren't great sellers.

    Yeahs0
  • And I also think FExSMT in 3ds would be great. It probably won't happen though. And I don't understand all the negative answers from wiiu owners here, take it easy, wiiu is ALREADY harmed with or without a SMT niche crossover game. ¬_¬
