    well once you spread it to other pokemon, you can can save it to a certain extent by putting some of them in the box. from there you can pull the pokemon out at any time, spread the virus, then put it back.

    that is charmander's hidden ability. instead of having blaze as an ability (like most fire starters), it has solar powered, which raises its sp atk in sunlight. kinda cool if i may say so.
