    Yes, they did. Shadow Tag was literally a broken ability in Gen 3. If 2 Wobbs met the battle would go on until both were out of PP. Gen 4's metagame just wasn't strong enough to consistantly beat it.

    But that scenario has quite a low chance of appearing, so I don't see it as a reason for Wobb to be an uber. Also, it would be a poke for a poke, which doesn't affect the battle much in anyone's favor

    It almost always happened because Wobb was amazing regardless in Gen 3. Better than in Gen 4, even. Teams weren't strong enough to break Wobb until Gen 5 where it can be easily revenge killed.

    Mawile's base stats are 50/85/85/55/55/55 and Klefki's are 57/80/91/80/87/75 and has a much better support movepool. Completely outclassed as a defensive 'mon.

    Elektross is Electric-type, with the ability Levitate, so it kind of has no weakness unless stuff like Smack Down hits.

    Rotom-W is way better than Lanturn anyway. Still weak to (and walled by) grass though. At least Lanturn has Ice Beam to have a sort of niche.
