    There is no specific area, unfortunately. However, Shinies are slightly more common in the Friend Safari.

    Sheer luck. It's such a low chance (>.01) that you should celebrate and catch one the moment you see one no matter what pokemon it is :D

    if you can make a quick youtube or google search of 'shiny methods xy', it'd help a lot. c: i tend to use the fishing method, but i'm trying out the masuda method as well.

    To me chaining is just annoying. Never works right for me, but I've gotten quite a few shinies in the fs and with breeding.

    there are a few ways, one is by getting lucky an finding one in the wild, another is masuda method. breed a pokemon with a japanese ditto, eventually u might get one, on rare occassion...

    I found one in the safari zones but it is all chance. In old games I found them everywhere and one from a egg. That was in FireRed Advance.

    You don't find them in specific areas as if they are rare pokemon. There is simply a chance that you can find one with the shiny color. There are ways to make this chances less random, like chain fish

    I got two shiny Swirlixes from the GTS which my friend helped me evolve, also a surprise shiny that will evolve when I give it to her on her birthday.
