    You can't be a shopkeeper, but to upgrade museum donate 20 different items. Then talk to Blathers during day.

    Blanthers will give you an option to upgrade it once you donate atleast one thing in all the catagories. You cant own a shop though.

    You need to donate at least 50 items at the museum including one of each item. Paintings are hard to get usually Redd has them but beware, he sometimes sells fake paintings that are worthless.
