I would love to see Mother 3 translated and brought to the Virtual Console. I know it's a pipe dream, but I'm betting if it were to happen, people would buy it!!

    Very cool. A while back, I imported a complete copy from Japan. It sits right next to my original copy of Earthbound for SNES. ^_^

    I have Earthbound, complete in box and let me tell you, it was by far the longest hunt for a game I ever had, being a collector and all, but also the most rewarding :)

    Definitely, my Earthbound is the crown jewel of my collection. I bought the VC version to show Nintendo how much we all love this game. And to play it on my bigscreen tv lol

    The mother series is a sad but amazing franchise that deserves more attention! If Mr Itoi wants to be the player, can't he just find some other developer to continue the series?

    Unfortunately, I don't have the first mother game, there was a custom remake being sold a little while back, but it was like $150 and they only made a few. It was gorgeous though.

    It's uncommon to find them on ebay, only few copies of the game show up and they're around $60. About the four unreleased prototypes, one is rumored to be in NoA's HQ, two are in two gamers houses

    I actually played the fan translated version of Mother 3, I didn't get very far because i was playing the ROM on my PC (this was after i bought my Japanese copy) and the lag on my monitor was too much

    I played mother 3 even though I'm in u.s. I was at summer camp and this kid told me he found the mother 3 cartridge on the ground I think on the sidewalk.
