In my last post, I mentioned Smash needing more female characters, and listed Birdo as a suggestion. I got some comments saying that Birdo is a dude. And I have something to say about it down below.

    My take on the Birdo gender issue is that, well, there can be male and female Birdos! Birdo isn't just one character, it's a whole species! The ones wearing bows are ♀, and the ones who don't are ♂!

    I Googled Birdo Captain Rainbow. What I got was an article that told details about the game, and then it said in the end it is discovered that Birdo's a she.

    Nick, he's talking about Red Birdos, they don't have bows but other Birdo's do. But in the Japanese Super Mario 2 (U.S.A.) guide it translation on Birdo says it is a girl that used to be male
