    go on the random battle/trade place on ur touch screen, then u need to fight/trade with them again and it will ask for u to be friends.

    Get a Wii U. You can add friends on that. Otherwise, exchange codes with someone on an internet forum, or in real life. That's all you can do without breaking the Miiverse rules.
