Smogon recently banned Mega Kangaskhan and Mega Gengar to Ubers. Do you think this is fair? Why or why not?

  • I don't see why Mega Gengar needs to be banned. :/

  • Mega Kangaskhan yes Mega Gengar no. Mega Kangaskhan can do a ton more damage and set up easily with sucker punch. Yes Mega Gengar can trap and has great sp attack and speed but it's not as bulky as

  • Mega Kangaskhan. 105/100/100 is a little too much for a sweeper like Kangaskhan

  • Mega Gengar: 130 Speed, 170 Special Attack, Ability: Shadow Tag

  • I just generally ignore smogon to be honest..

  • Mega Gengar has Shadow Tag, 170 special attack and reliable STAB. that why its banned

  • The only reason I listen to Smogon... is so I can do all the powerfully 'illegal' stuff. That's why I use a Slaking with Night Slash and Pursuit. I just wanted some average opinion.

  • But still, I don't play by smogon rules, I use Mega Gengar but it just happens I don't use Mega Kangaskhan.

  • Still, just use a special defensive Tyranitar. It can survive a focus blast surprisingly and KO with crunch

  • Remember that you can't switch INTO a Pokémon with Shadow Tag... that's what made Wobbuffet so powerful...

  • Unlike Wobbuffett however Gengar doesn't really have bulk. Wobbuffett was able to survive a hit and also had encore

  • Here's another thing: Shadow Tag doesn't activate on the turn you mega evolve. So, you can switch into a special defensive tank and manage to kill it

  • I see... Good advice.
