    They never confirmed if the modern DK is Jr. or his son, they leave it open to our interpretation. I think he's Jr. too cuz otherwise where'd Jr. go?

    Cranky refers to himself as grandpa, but that could also just be a reference to his age. He also mentions he "didn't raise you in a barn" to DK meaning he raised him.

    I do think that was the same Mario tho. I don't think Mario is like Link. If anything Mario was just alot younger back then.
