    Personally, I didn't care for Waluigi...he's not an iconic character in the Mario universe...except in Mario Sport games and parties

    Yeah I didn't really want him taking up a slot either. Frees up space for new blood (unrepresented series). Ridley might get in, but I'm not sure if he would fit.

    I actually feel that if Ridley was playable he would be less cool than as an AT or stage hazard. You could make him more dangerous that way.

    Ridley is a potential 2nd Metroid character...and Samus's nemesis...I believe that Sakurai could make Ridley work...

    If you make Ridley a playable character, they will have to balance him to be just as strong as everyone else. If he's an AT or stage hazard, you could give him instant KO power.
