  • They're secrets that no one tells you about ingame. It took me looking online to learn how to do it properly...

  • The destiny Knot takes 5 Ivs randomly from both parents. Do you talk to the IV judge?

  • Look it up on youtube, that's how I figured it out! The guy has an annoying voice but is very informative!

  • Ok how would you get the 6th?

  • Simply put, the destiny knot takes the iv's of -both- pokemon, and ramdomly selects 5 of them as the ivs of the eggs. The other one is random.

  • When you breed 2 pokemon, if one of them is holding a Destiny Knot, then 5 IVs will be passed on randomly from the parents.

  • the 6th is the hardest to get..

  • You can't reliably get the 6th. If you really want 6 perfect IVs, you'll need to get very lucky. You would need to randomly pass on 5 perfect via the destiny knot, and roll perfect on the 6th.

  • That said, you typically don't _need_ the 6th to be perfect. Who cares if your physical sweeper has a lousy Sp. Attack?
