    No one who understands mass effect would think the theory is possible. You only need read the codex entry on indoctrination to realize Shepard had neither the requirements nor the symptoms.

    It's also impossible because there is a lengthy epilogue taking place after Shepard was dead. The theory is for people who don't understand the end. But every "problem" has an explanation.

    That aside, no writer would ever end such an epic series with "it was all a dream" and Bioware have made comments explaining the ending confirming everything actually happened.

    I agree. I remember when I first heard about it, I thought "that would be such a cop-out!" I think the Shep dream sequences, if anything, were PTSD... not Reapers trying to indoctrinate him/her.

    I half expected the game to end with Shepard lying unconscious in the med bay of the Normandy SR-1 and Anderson asking Ash/Kaidan about what happened down on Eden Prime.
