I actually used to own Gradius, Contra, and Super C for NES. My older brother and I used to abuse both contra games!! I hated playing Gradius!!!

Maybe I hated Gradius because as a kid I never used the code. My brother beat all three without the codes. I only could beat the Contra games without the codes. It's WAY easier with 2 people though.

Gradius is one of the greatest shmups ever made, you should give it another chance. I've 1cc'd the arcade version on three diferent occasions.
