    You can't pla online on the 3DS. It's local wireless only, but there is a way to play online exept that it requires a Wii U.

    You never could play MH3U online with 3DS except with the help of a WII U, Packet Relay tool for MH3U, and a LAN ethernet cable for the WII U.
