I must have really bad luck at rare drops :/. Been hunting Rathalos for a good two hours or so, from capturing and cutting his tail off. I also wait til he is done eating , so a shiny will drop.

    Do I just keep on repeating this until the game feels kind enough to drop a plate? He is still fun to fight just discouraged is all :s.

    monster hunter has one of the worst RNGs that i have ever delt with, but yes, keep doing that. just be sure to check the drop tables to insure your farming the right rank.

    its 2% chance, so this is how the Desire Sensor came ti be. High Rank has about a 10% chance I think...
