I think it actually makes it harder for artists without 8000 followers to get the spotlight. Since you've got to quickly rack up yeahs on day 1, and that's hard to day if you don't have a bunch of loyal followers.

Siv's drawings gets a lot of yeahs. When she posts them less than a minute, the yeahs are coming in like crazy! In 10 min. it's almost 100 yeahs and she had just posted it not too long ago!
