I see a lot of people in trouble with the first boss. I'll put some tips here, so read it if you need some help.

1. Try to stock a barrel and several water of life bottles before this battle.

2. Try to kill a lot of enemies and get Palutena's key in all three levels before this boss' dungeon. Doing that will add a lot of points in your score and make Zeus give you more arrow power and ↓

even maybe add up to your endurance bar at the end of the levels (you need several squares for using the special weapons).

3. Try to pass the training rooms to get a special weapon. It's recommended that you choose them in this order: fire arrow - long bow - protective crystals, because you need less squares of endurance↓

4. Now for the battle. When fighting the boss, be patient and stay as defensive as possible. Avoid the skulls it throws and its flame form (jump to escape).

5. When it's on the higher platforms, stand right under the platform it's on. Only attack it when it's on the ground or the lowest platforms.

6. To attack it, try to pass between the skulls to approach it. Shoot once and get back quickly. I think you can shoot it 2-3 times before it disappears each time. It's easier when it's on the ground.

Yes, except if you've already gotten there before upgrading I guess your chances are slim? I've failed 5 or 6 times now.
