    true. but ONLY fans watch the directs. (mostly) for the most part, those who DON'T have a wii u/3ds won't watch a direct. but, everyone watches E3. so, they rely on E3 to sell their games. which is why, this year, nintendo is trying to STEAL e3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Nintendo Directs are still reported on by the media, just like at e3. Nintendo can have mini e3's throughout the year.
