("Lost" Chapter 10: Luka's Light) The next morning, Leon woke with a start. He suddenly noticed that Pam, Dani, and Dawn were missing. "...Pam? Dawn? Dani?" He called. 'Pam is probably all alone out there!!' Leon stopped himself. "Uhh, why was Pam the first thing that came to my mind?" He shook it off, and started to walk away, looking for the girls.

"Let's go then!" Dani said happily. They walked towards a deeper, closer patch of trees. "Um, why are we going in here?" Leon asked. "Because we saw footprints that obviously aren't ours." Dawn pointed to the ground.

"Oh." They walked for a while, talking about various things. Eventually the footprints ended by a river that lead to a lake amd what looked like a cove. "Well, this is the best guess we have." Pam said as she put a foot in the water.

Dawn sat down by the water. "I cant go, sorry." "Oh yeah, your a Fire Type..." Pam said. Dani sat down too. "Can't swim." "Guess it's just me and Leon, then!" Pam started to wade in the water, waiting for Leon.

Dawn looked at Leon in a You-don't-yell-at-her-once-ya-hear? kind of way. Leon nodded and slowly dipped into the water. Pam had already started swimming towards the cove. Leon started to swim that way too.

The arrived at the cove, and climbed onto the rock. There seemed to be a little campfire in the corner. Pam looked around. "I don't see anything. Or anyone." "Huh. Guess we were wrong."

As soon as Leon finished that sentence, an iron cage had fallen around Pam. "Pam?!" Leon tugged on the bars, knowing it wouldn't help. "Where did this come from?!" Pam tugged on the bars, too.

Suddenly the figure from this morning was in the middle of the cove. "Hey! Let her out!" Leon ran towards him/her. The figure disappeared, and reappeared behind Leon. He had the same lantern as he did this morning.

The figure jabbed a certain spot on Leon's neck with it's finger, and Leon fell over. The figure picked him up and shoved him against the cove walls. It held him up by his fur.

"I saw you yelling at her this morning." The figure spoke, and had a male voice. He pointed to Pam. "Why are you here and why did you bring her?" "W-We were searching for someone named L-Luka" Leon choked. The figure pushed him against the wall further. "Don't hurt him!!!" Pam screamed, trying to get through the bars. "What do you want with this 'Luka'?"

"W-We are trying to bring him to a G-Gardevoir named D-Danielle, or D-Dani." Leon's face was turning purple. "Stop!!" Pam cried. The figure dropped Leon to the ground.

"Where is Danielle TELL ME NOW!!" He raised his foot over Leon's head. "Th-The other side of the lake..." Leon was gasping for air. The figure removed the black leather, revealing he was a Gallade.

He flipped a small switch on the wall, and the cage around Pam lifted. Pam ran over to Leon as the Gallade jumped into the river, swimming to the over side.

"Oh thank Arceus he didn't kill you!" Pam hugged Leon tightly, seeming to be sobbing. Leon spoke slowly, trying to catch his breath. "I'm...okay...let's...go...check...on...Dani...and...Dawn..."

They both stood up, and Pam wiped the tears off her face then jumped into the lake. Leon jumped in too. The arrived at the other side where Dani was hugging the Gallade. "Luka, I missed you!" Dani said. "Wait... THAT'S Luka?! He nearly kiled me!" Leon said dramatically.

Luka scratched his head. "Yeah, sorry about that..." Dani changed the subject. "But Luka, where did you go in the first place?" She looked worried.

"I went to get food. I left you a note. It said 'I went to find some food. If I get lost, always look for the light of a lantern, then you'll know it's me.'" Dani pulled a slip of paper out of her pocket.

"You mean this? I found it that morning, but it was covered in mud..." Luka nodded. "It's fine." Leon scratched his head. We'll, now that your reunited, would you care to accompany us whilw we navigate our way home?"

"I mean, it would be nice to have another guy around, and you guys seem really nice..." Dani nodded excitedly. "I'm okay with it!" Luka smiled. "That'd be cool."

Pam smiled. "Well, the more the merrier!" (End of Chapter 10!)
