Some of you are complaining about the simplicity. Yes, it's a simple game. Simple games can be a lot of fun. I grew up on the Atari 2600 days. We learned to appreciate games. The graphics were poor. Yet, the games were insanely addicting and lot of fun. This game is awesome in my book. I've got 15 minutes to wait. That's fantastic because I can beat my high score which makes it addicting and fun.

  • I never quite understand the complaints that stuff like this and Blok Drop U get. They're $2. (Or 99¢ sometimes in the latter's case) What expectations fo some have for a game that costs less than a cup of coffee?

  • I think part of the issue stems from the amount of children on Miiverse. They don't have a checking account to link, so they rely on eShop cards, something that their parents probably have to buy for them.

  • I tend to agree with you. You can buy a pc demo for that much. This is the entire game. I think it's great for its price.

  • I would have been ecstatic if I grew up with a similar sort of platform to buy games on. I remember getting my SNES and spending upwards of $70 for a game because of 'cartridge shortages'.

  • Or worse, $110 for Chrono Trigger. Now, even retail games tend to get really cheap, really fast. (I bought Bioshock Infinite for $35 two weeks after launch.) If I could go back in time and show myself these $1-$15 indie games, I would have been gobsmacked for getting so much for so little.

  • I totally agree with you. I believe if a games fun buy it. I didn't start getting into indie games. Until, I bought a Wii-u and 3ds. Now, I get excited over seeing a indie game. I'm going to have lot of fun with. I guess people are getting spoiled. They want graphics and nothing else. I say look at Battlefield 4. It's been out for a year. It has great graphics but buggy beyond belief.

  • Me too, especially on Wii U. 3DS is nice too but it could use a little more love in that department.

  • For a previous comment Ray said about children, adults have a tendency to complain about prices too. Just look at the comments for iOS games that are $5 or higher.

  • The game I want is 20 dollars on the smart phones. Now, if you think about it I could buy 3 or more great games with that money. I could be having fun with. I ask myself and parents should to. With this gaming investment, how long will it keep my interest. will they go back to it after beating it, and such. I buy games to have fun. If I have fun with a 1.99 game, thats a plus in my book.

  • Exactly! I downloaded Mario Kart 8 on the eShop and still had enough money for I've Got to Run. It's all based on value and how much fun you have with said value.

  • I bought Mario Kart 8 because I knew. I would get all the characters. Then, I'd get all the stamps. I'd have fun with youtube options. Then, I'd have fun with the stamps. Then, online here I go. Its a game I knew I'd play the heck out of it. Plus, it looked like a lot of fun. God, I love Nintendo games.

  • I bought it because it was Mario Kart, which is infinitely replayable. The free game they offered with purchase was just a nice little incentive. (Plus the $10 in eShop credit from downloading Mario Kart and the free game helped) Got 1001 Spikes for 1¢ because of that!

  • I got all the characters in 2 days. I was hoping 1 day but I stopped playing after a while...

  • I have nothing wrong with simple games except for when they come to home consoles. This game looks and plays as if it is in a beta stage. It should be a flash game, not a Wii U title.

  • people get games for 30 $ and here u can get 4 new games and 2 classics then all u have is 2 bux then get this game SWEEET

  • You beat your high score. Basically, you are jumping. The framerate's so fast. It's hard to keep yourself from dying. It's easy to play but hard to conquer. When you die, the points stop and start over to beat your score. It's endless. Like I said its simple but fun. For 1.99 you can't go wrong.

  • Also don't forget that a lot of people are obsessed with graphics, framerates and resolutions now.

  • I think gamers these days are spoiled. I play games. If the games fun, I'll buy it. Usually those type of games that people want, they take time to make. For example the Ps4 has to resort to upgrading Ps3 games just to get gamers in. Their exclusives are coming. Yet, it takes time. The games that developers make now. They grew up on old school games and thats what got them into making games.

  • True, look at Battlefield, COD: Ghosts and the Last of Us, all PS3 games that can be purchased on PS4 with only graphical improvements however BF4 has more improvements on PS4 with 64 player games instead of 24 players.
