No matter what i will always choose to destroy the reapers. It's been my objective for all three games and there's no reason for me to change it now.

Without getting into a debate the downside to destroy is it wipes out all technology including EDI and the geth. Its also unfair to the species trapped in the reapers, they're victims too. Plus it does ultimately doom the galaxy since more synthetics will eventually be built that will then destroy organics.

I've seen all four endings and for me Control is the best choice, followed very close by synthesis.

haha this debate has been going for a long time now and i dont expect for it to be resolved soon. i didnt like having to wipe out the technology but that stuff can be rebuilt, but controlling the reapers? thats what the illusive man wanted and it didnt work so well for him. plus thats a little too much power for one person in my opinion, and becoming one just isnt an option. no way

The Illusive Man was correct the only reason he wasn't able to do it was because the Reapers already had control of him.

That's why I felt so bad for him when his life ended that way!

The Illusive Man had no moral, he would run tests on his mother just to achieve his goals, he didn't deserve the ability to control the Reapers, Shepard was different, even taking renegade decisions the Control Ending is the same for him, helping rebuild the homes of those that Reapers attacked before and not only that, knowing that each Reaper is a harvested species just imagine all the knowledge

I totally agree the illusive man was nuts and i dont feel bad for him because he was looking for power and got himself into that mess, but the reason im so conflicted about control is that the reapers are still going to go after advanced races arent they? they hold all the knowledge of past races they exterminated. thats all the reapers do. They massacre and exterminate. wont they keep doing that?

No because it wasn't the reapers doing that. The catalyst controls them. The reapers are really all the innocent species the catalyst killed. With Shepard as the new catalyst he controls and directs them in accordance with his personality.

but do we really know that? i havent seen the control ending but it wreaks of indoctrination. i mean really anyway you put it i dont think there is a right or wrong way. i think its more a sense of morals and why you made your choice, ya know?either that or bioware needs to clarify what happens in all the endings haha

That isn't how indoctrination works. We heard from Shepard himself as the new catalyst. With control he is now in command of them. Shepard wouldn't turn them on the races.

If you have any questions about the endings or the aftermath. Something you aren't clear on. I'd be happy to answer them for you.

Megasis, in order to continue this line of conversation without spoiling you anything just make a little effort and watch the Control Ending. And Ness is right, that's not how indoctrination works, and you already know that the catalyst control the Reapers.

One more thing, if you want to know the origin of the Catalyst get or watch videos on YouTube about the "Leviathan" DLC, that DLC explains the origin of all this conflict. it is a shame Wii U ME3 didn't include it, IMHO, and storywise speaking, it is more important than the "From Ashes" DLC (Getting Javink on Eden Prime)
