    Aria T'Loak was born on Thessia nearly a thousand years ago. When she reached the maiden stage of her development she trained as a commando before leaving to explore the galaxy as a pirate. Her journey eventually brought her to the station Omega, the central hub of the lawless in the heart of the Terminus system.

    When she arrived on the station she worked as a dancer at the seedy club Afterlife. She then united the asari there under her leadership before killing the owner of the club and taking it over herself. She then worked with the ancient krogan who ran Omega and her power and influence grew. When she learned everything she could from him she betrayed him.

    Aria had influence over all the asari the krogan's henchman had grown accustomed to enjoying the company of. His men abandoned him without hesitation. Aria and the krogan tore through the station, fighting for days before Aria finally broke him. But she didn't kill him. She kept him around for his knowledge and experience of the station, and to serve as a warning. She named him the Patriarch.

    Aria continued to expand her territory by dominating the other gangs on Omega from vorcha bands to the established merc groups. Using several identities and making several enemies she recieved a lot of credits to fund her operations. When her backers wanted a bigger cut of her operations she outmaneuvered them. Leading them on a wild goose chase through the galaxy.

    By 2183 Aria had been in power for centuries. She was notorious. Everyone knew the rule of Omega but she still managed to keep her past and personal life secret, even concealing the birth of several daughters. Because of her reputation, Liara T'soni and Feron went to see Aria when they learned the Blue Suns were attempting to trade Shepard's body to the Collectors. Aria divulged the meeting place.

    After Shepard's reconstruction in 2185, Aria received word the moment the Normandy entered the Terminus Systems. Recalling that things explode around Shepard she sent her henchman to bring Shepard to her. She supplied the commander with intel for Shepard to recruit the team in order to keep an eye on the commander. She was distant at first but the more Shepard did for her the more she opened up.

    She told Shepard about the plague ravaging the streets of Omega and Dr Mordin Solus who was working to cure it, about the gangs uniting against the vigilante Archangel, and the murder of a woman which Aria suspected to be the work of an Ardat-Yakshi which turned out to be Samara's daughter Morinth. In return Shepard help expose traitors in her organization, and helped a situation with Patriarch.

    After the destruction of the Collectors, Paul Grayson on the run from the Illusive Man had come to Omega to work as a mercenary for Aria. Aria wanted to kill Grayson but her young daughter Liselle, who was infatuated with Grayson, convinced her mother to spare him. When the Illusive Man's assassin Kai Lang finally tracked Grayson down he killed Liselle in Grayson's bed and captured Grayson.

    When Aria discovered Liselle dead she assumed it was Grayson. When he escaped Cerberus custody the Illusive Man used that lie to convince Aria to help him get Grayson back. Afterwards she brought Liselle to Thessia for the funeral. When she returned to Omega she found one of her banks robbed. One of the captured mercs behind the job was with Lang when he killed Liselle and divulged the truth.

    Aria struck a deal with Kahlee Sanders in order to learn of Lang's identity and location. Kahlee was in possession of Grayson's files, but Aria just hacked them in order to get the information. She disbatched the Blue Suns to kill Lang but they failed. Instead Lang was captured by the Biotic Underground. When Aria learned this she attempted to sell the information to the Illusive Man.

    Aria insisted the Illusive Man meet her in person. She planned to kill both him and Lang but the Illusive Man made a deal with the Biotic Underground instead. Aria organized a small army with Kahlee Sanders and stormed the Biotic Underground's base but Kai Lang was already handed back to Cerberus. She was denied her revenge and her hatred for Cerberus grew.

    In 2186 Cerberus had been using the destroyed Collector base in order to experiment on reaper tech integration with subjects. They spawned terrifying creatures called Adjutants that came back through the Omega 4 relay and attacked Omega. With no other choice Aria teamed up with Cerberus General Petrovsky to stop the threat but Cerberus betrayed her.

    With Aria absent, Petrovsky had laid seige to Omega. Aria returned and rallied the gangs, fighting with her army to the Cerberus General. But when she finally got to him, he revealed the Cerberus fleet was in position outside Omega and they'd destroy the entire station if they had to. Aria wouldn't let that happen. She had no choice but to leave, taking refuge on the Citadel, biding her time.
