What's with MK64 being the most talked about Mario Kart game? What about Double Dash?

  • MK64 made a huge impact. It was the first 3D polygon Mario Kart game, and introduced a lot of elements that have been in the series ever since. It was a lot of people's first MK game. D-Dash was devisive & didn't appeal to all fans (and the Cube wasn't in as many homes), which is why Nintendo considers it an experiment they learned from. For me, the best track in DD was the awesome Baby Park! :D

  • I personally think that I like Double Dash more because I don't own MK64.

  • See, that's the thing: Many people--especially older gamers--love MK64 because it was a first...like Mario 64. But if you download the virtual console version of MK64 today, you'd find that it plays great but looks like garbage by today's standards. It's all about good memories--Yours are with Double Dash. Yay for retro tracks--I've been waiting years for the redo of Royal Raceway! :D

  • Well, lets say I used to own it. When my older brother was a kid, he had MK64 but gave it to his friend and now he regretted it.
