i really hope for an early birthday present is Diddy Kong confirmed MK8 as a DLC character cause i need a decent accelerated and speed character cause i lost my touch as DK and Iggy

    I know how you feel, Brandon. I was REALLY looking forward to Nintendo putting Bowser Jr. in Mario Kart 8 because I liked him in Mario Kart Wii.

    Whoooaaa--I LOVE this roster! I'd love to see Diddy, King Boo and Dry Bowser as DLC, but--this roster's is really solid. Too many babies, sure, but the Koopalings rock! From this day on, no one will accept a Mario Kart game without all 7 koopalings--they're too much fun! And, even though folks complained about Pink Gold Peach, tons of people are choosing her online.

    But many of the characters here are fan favorites: Shy Guy, Troopa, Daisy, Rosalina, Lakitu, etc. Shy Guy absolutely ROCKS in this game. But I hope your birthday wish comes true--We'd all love to have Diddy Kong back. That's a win-win for everyone! For decent acceleration & speed, make sure to experiment with all the tires. For mid-range characters, I've had good luck with Roy, Yoshi & Daisy.

    Yeah, I don't like playing as DK. For a heavyweight, I'd much rather play as Bowser, Wario, Morton or Mii. BTW, Bowser in the pirate ship with whatever wheel fits your racing style is a GREAT controlling combo.

    That's cool, but be sure to try some of the others for fun. At first I had no interest in playing as Roy, Daisy or Shy Guy, but they turned out to be amazing--and Shy Guy's got the funniest voice of any game character ever. :)
