    Ordinarily, I'd say no. However, there is a reason that this crew is included. So what is the reason? Think about it. There are lots of complaints that some people shoots only homings. Some people get tired of it and don't want to deal with it.

    Auto Masker to the rescue! Add Masker A and Snorkel Tech, and you can practically ignore Homing torpedoes. All you have to do is to watch for the air level, and fill it up periodically.

    Add Swimmer E, or even Mine Master, and you can practically just pretend homing torpedoes do not exist. So, for those of you who hates homing torpedoes, here is the answer to your problem.

    Of course, at the highest level, you want to manually control masker unit. There is enough reason to not automatically mask when a homing locks on you. But for those of you just starting out, and find homings to be a bother, here is a soluion for you!

    Especially since there are different ways to handle homings without using a masker. However, that is a subject for another time. In the meantime, stay close to the surface for quick air fill-up. See you in the water!
