In the case of balancing characters, nerfing them is not the the best answer. I'd rather have a stronger Mario than a weaker Marth. While some nerfs are ok (Gliding for example) nobody likes a Melee Kirby or Brawl Ganondorf. I just want other characters to have the strength to compete with other characters. That's what balancing is.

Sakurai actually said in a POTD that he's gonna balance the game the same way Brawl+ did.
